Please remember to dress your kiddos for the weather. It’s a good idea this time of year to always
have hats, gloves, an extra sweatshirt, and extra socks in their
backpacks. Warm winter coats are needed
when the temperature is below 40 degrees.
Once there is snow on the playground they will need snow boots and snow
pants to play out in the snow, otherwise they may have to stand by the wall or
on the pavement. Please remember to put
their names on everything!
Please also practice letting your sons and daughters get
themselves ready to go outside. They
need to be able to put on their snow pants, boots, coats, hats, and gloves all
by themselves by January. I will help
and teach them to be as independent as they can be. So please start practicing now.
In celebration of Friendship and Thanksgiving, we will be making
and sharing Stone Soup together the week of Thanksgiving. As in the story
of Stone Soup, everyone will bring in an item to contribute to our soup and
then work together to create a delicious meal. On Tuesday, we will be
trading amongst the Kindergarten classes to obtain all of the ingredients we
need for our soup. We will peel and cut
up all of the vegetables on Tuesday afternoon and then eat our soup together on
Wednesday, November 22nd at our Feast.
Our class needs to bring in potatoes to trade with the other
classes. Each student needs to bring in one potato by MFri the 19th,
which is our delayed start day. If you
signed up during conferences to bring in items for our feast day, I also will
need those items by Monday, the 19th.
If you would still like to come in and help out with our
Kindergarten thanksgiving activities rotations, I could still use 2 more volunteers on Tuesday, Nov. 20th from
8:20-10 am.
I could use 2 more
volunteers that same day in the afternoon to help cut up veggies from 1-3.
I could use 2 more
volunteers Wednesday, Nov. 21st serving our feast and helping with
clean-up from 12:30-2.
If you are interested or free please email me so I can see how
many parent volunteers we have.
