2-3 times a week. Please have your child
read the little reader to you 2-3 times for fluency practice.
Please notice how they are stretching out their
words, pointing to the words, finding their sight words, and reading as if they
are talking not robot reading. Please
log the books they read to you and initial it.
Please return the readers the very next day as these
books are shared with all students and they are the school’s property. They cannot get another reader unless they
return their readers.
100th Day of School
As of today, our 100th
day would fall on this Thursday, Jan. 30th. That is always subject to change if we get
any more snow days. We usually have a
very fun day on the 100th day.
I ask that the kiddos try and dress up as if they are 100 years old and
bring in 100 items of something in a zip lock bag or Tupperware container. Ideas are Legos, buttons, cereal,
marshmallows, etc. They can bring in
their 100 items on that day too.
I also could use 2-3
parent helpers on that day, but please be aware of our snow days and how that
could change. It would be in the morning
from 8:30-11:30. Please text or email me if you are interested in helping out
that day.

Valentine’s Day &
Jump Rope for Heart
Day
We
will be having our Valentine’s Day party for part of the day on Thursday, Feb.
13th, and the other part we will be going to the gym and
participating in a variety of activities/stations Mrs. Sluiter has organized
for us, for Jump Rope for Heart!
We
are having a fundraising kickoff for Jump Rope for Heart today, be on the
lookout for more details about that.
Mrs. Sluiter may need volunteers that day and I will like 2-3 for our
Valentine’s Day party. Please contact me
if you are interested in helping out with either. Parents are welcome to come and watch the
Jump Rope for Heart activities. I will
let everyone know the schedule just as soon as I know.
Every
child is to bring, one Valentine for each classmate. I have attached our class list for the kiddos
to get a head start on making them, especially if we get any more snow
days. It would be a good activity for
them to work on.
