Thank you, parents, very much for all your help
with the 100th day, Valentine’s day, and Jump Rope for Heart. Even though we missed a lot of school we truly
did have two very fun days last week!
Our
Report Cards!
Our report cards, will not be finished in time by this
Wed. due to so many snow days. We will
get them out to you as soon as we all have our assessments finished. Thank you for your patience and
understanding.
Please
return the green conferences notes, if you received one and if you can attend
our scheduled time. If you cannot come
at that time, please contact me and I can make accommodations to better fit
your schedules.
Due to
so many snow days, the kiddos have seemed to have really lost some basic
skills. Handwriting practice, blending
CVC (consonant vowel consonant) words, and reading skills. Please devote a few extra minutes to your kiddos
to practice reading the attached CVC reading sheet and fluency practice pages. The kiddos should be able to smoothly blend these
words into what they are, not so slow like [r]….[e]….[d].
I am also sending home some of our Ee pages that we were unable to get through
due to so many days off. They do not
need to be returned but it would be good practice for everyone to complete at
home. Thank you for your commitment to
helping out your sweet kiddos, they have progressed so well this year and I
just want to see that growth continue until the end of the year! Again, thank you for all that you do for your
little angels.
Pastries with Parents
On Friday,
March 1st, there will be Pastries with Parents in the morning. This is taking place of Muffins with Moms
& Donuts with Dads. Parent are to enjoy
treats together in the cafeteria from 7:30 – 8:10am. Then parents are welcomed into the classrooms
for fun activities that they can do together until 8:40 am. All parents are
encouraged to attend. Please return the
purple slip if you plan on attending, so the cooks can prepare enough. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.
Kindergarten Round-up
It is just around the
corner for anyone looking for kindergarten next school year. There will be two Fridays in April, where we
will not be having class for our kinders due to round-up. The dates are April
12th & April 26th.
If you know of anyone interested in kindergarten for next school year, please
have them contact MaryBeth in the elementary school office to schedule an
appointment.
