Reading Folders

Reading Folders will be coming home with your child 2-3 times a week.  Please have your child read the little reader to you 2-3 times for fluency practice. 

Please notice how they are stretching out their words, pointing to the words, finding their sight words, and reading as if they are talking not robot reading.  Please log the books they read to you and initial it. 

Please return the readers the very next day as these books are shared with all students and they are the school’s property.  They cannot get another reader unless they return their readers.

Online RAZ kids

We have started our reading online RAZ kids program this past week.  If you wish to receive progress reports on how they are doing please email or text me and I can add your email to receive notifications.

Testing Week

Next week, is our testing week to see the progress the kiddos have made so far in reading, math, and pre-literacy skills.  I posted above the dates we will be having our test days.  Please be aware of those dates, and make sure your little one has had a nutritious dinner and adequate sleep the night before.  I will share all testing results with you as soon they become available to me.

Wear Green & Gold Day!

100^th Day of School

As of today, our 100^th day would fall on this Thursday, Jan. 30^th.  That is always subject to change if we get any more snow days.  We usually have a very fun day on the 100^th day.  I ask that the kiddos try and dress up as if they are 100 years old and bring in 100 items of something in a zip lock bag or Tupperware container.  Ideas are Legos, buttons, cereal, marshmallows, etc.  They can bring in their 100 items on that day too.

I also could use 2-3 parent helpers on that day, but please be aware of our snow days and how that could change.  It would be in the morning from 8:30-11:30. Please text or email me if you are interested in helping out that day.
